A great day was had by all attendees. We had games, a delicious lunch, sunshine and very little wind, and we celebrated out 2024 award winners. Check them out HERE.

A super early start saw our awesome trailer towing crew turn up in the dark at 6.10am (with one hours less sleep as daylight saving came into effect!) to get a primo parking spot at a very tight venue. Big thanks to Craig & Harriet Watson for towing the heavy load!

TMOCC had 28 paddlers, adding to the record race numbers in this event (There were 15 W6's!)
We had Four x W6, One x W2, and 2 x W1.  These encompassed:

• W6 Wairoa - Theo's Crew: Theo Vale, Mary-Rose Hammerich, Liz Lindsay, Harriet Watson, Andrew Livick, & Jennifer Rudkin
• W6 Ruawahine - Fingers Crossed: Delwynne Hahunga, Carol Andrews, Moira Rauputu, Maryanna Casey, Wendy Fouracre, & Gaylene Macfarlane
• W6 Kotene - Slay Sisters: Steph Mott, Angie Lind, Alex Williams, Ashleigh Peti, Natalie Holmes & Jessie White.
• W6 Tataramoa - BOP River Dragons: Aaron Goudie, Daniel Stoner, Lewis Lind, David Robson, Steve Monk & Mike Ballard.

​The weather behaved nicely with no rain during the event, considering rain was forecast! It was a pleasant change for us to be on the Waikato river, rather than paddling in and around our usual Tauranga Harbour environs. Oh, and we all got a medal to show for it!
