Covid 19 in BOP - Message from our TMOCC H&S

20/11/2021

We now have multiple positive covid cases in Tauranga and the wider BOP area.
Although we remain at Alert level 2, we need to ensure that we exercise all precautions to minimise the spread of covid and follow Ministry of Health guidelines.

  • If you have any covid symptoms or are unwell, get a test and then stay at home.
    • Symptoms of COVID-19 include: a new or worsening cough, sneezing and runny nose, fever, temporary loss of smell or altered sense of taste, sore throat, and shortness of breath.
    • There are drive through testing stations popping up at various locations in the city and surrounds but also can be found at:
      • 2nd Ave
      • Racecourse
      • Phone your GP and ask where  your nearest location is
  • If you have been to a place of interest please follow the Ministry advice on their website.
  • Stick to your usual paddling team – no extras or visitors
  • Keep your distance from others as much as possible and wear a mask when you are not able to maintain distance (with the exception of actual paddling of course)
  • Hand wash and sanitise frequently
  • Clean the gear that you use
  • Ensure you sign in at the shed

If  you are not vaccinated please consider not paddling in a group to protect yourself and your team mates at this time.
